Sharon Munoz Jimenez-Nijmeijer Crowned Hairdresser of the Year at Coiffure Award 2025

What a night! On Sunday, May 18, the 33rd edition of the Coiffure Award, better known as the Oscars of Dutch hairdressing, took place at a sold-out Studio21. The big winner? Sharon Munoz Jimenez-Nijmeijer from Fierce Hair Salon in Raalte, who took home both the regional award for the northern provinces and the most prestigious title of the evening: Hairdresser of the Year 2025. An esteemed jury of national and international experts praised Sharon’s collection as technically outstanding, modern yet timeless, and highly wearable. “This collection immediately grabs you with its calm simplicity. Soft textures, pure shapes, and editorial elegance, yet completely salon-ready,” the jury concluded.

The event was packed with creativity, passion, and craftsmanship. Hair professionals from all over the country came together to celebrate their shared love for hair artistry. The night featured stunning presentations, emotional moments, and sky-high standards in creativity and technique. Host Jeroen van Koningsbrugge brought charm and wit to the stage, while Rozan Zonneveld (Hairdresser of the Year 2024) wowed the audience with her conceptual show UNTITLED – a minimalist hair performance featuring recycled hair. The evening ended in true celebratory style with a high-energy afterparty led by DJ La Fuente.

Laura van de Graaf of Schwarzkopf Professional, the driving force behind the event, reflected: “Once again, we’ve created something truly special. The level of talent in the Netherlands is incredible, and the Coiffure Award remains the ultimate stage to showcase it.”

The 2025 edition of the Coiffure Award was more than a competition: it was a tribute to the craft, a night of connection, and a celebration we won’t soon forget.
